Fugu fish. This was a fun design for Darrin. Each part was in memory of a trip to Japan. Eating the toxic fugu, the cosmos flower in bloom, visiting the tallest granite tower at the backside of my Fuji. Amazing day on this one. Thank you Darrin.
Fugu possesses a potentially fatal poison known as tetrodotoxin, thereby necessitating meticulous preparation to eliminate poisonous components and prevent the fish meat from being contaminated.
The restaurant preparation of fugu is strictly controlled by law in Japan, Korea and several other countries, and only chefs who have qualified after three or more years of rigorous training are allowed to prepare the fish.Domestic preparation occasionally leads to accidental death. #midnightmoontattoo #mathewclarketattoo #nhjapanesetattooartist #fugutattoo #japanesetattoo #meredithnh

Willingness to accept your fate and with honour is one for the messages namakubi is used for. A brutal image none the less, it is applied not as shock factor only, but as an element to the circle of life, for example-when taking a head it is done with respect for the person and that persons cause, but can also be used to show others the punishment if they are not living a truly righteous life. In Japanese folklore, kitsune are often depicted as mischievous and magical beings with multiple tails.
They are believed to possess great wisdom and can bring good fortune to those they favor.
